Possible New Logo

So I've thought about how I need to make an actual logo before, but could never think of anything.
and I eventually gave up and forgot about it. But a comment on my last blog about marking my work brought it to my attention again (thanks Funks) So, I thought and thought, but could not think of anything and gave up again.

Until last night. An image popped into my head, so I pulled out my comp and made it.
I think it's the first thing I've ever seen in my head and been able to even closely create successfully.

without further ado, here it is:

Possibly my new logo?

I also decided to try out a self portrait with my face in the position of my new logo (A face I make often, one of the reasons the logo fits me) I accidentally took two shots off centered that almost fit together perfectly, I liked them, so this is what I did with them.

self portrait & new logo tryout

What do you guys think?

i tried to leave a comment earlier, but my internet decided to die on me. let me see if i can remember what i said.

i think basically what i was getting as was...i like the new logo...as a logo, but i'm not sure if i would use it as your mark. it looks good on the photo you put it on, but i'm not sure how well it would work on something more "professional," i.e. a wedding.

the logo seems to distract a bit from the actual photo since it kinda has a lot going on too. don't scrap the logo, but i would just think about maybe toning it down just a bit.

i'll keep thinking about it to and see if i can come up with anything. keep pushing forward man.

Not crazy about it. It looks like an emoticon or a traffic sign. Hmm

dude... i like it... it fits you and works :D but i would not go as far to say that its perfect because the other comments have a point, it works with the photo you displayed it on and would work for shows and the like but for other shoots it may be too informal...but i like it on the whole
